  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or soy)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 medium apple, finely diced
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or a small resealable container, add the rolled oats, chia seeds, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir these dry ingredients together to ensure the cinnamon is evenly distributed.
  2. Pour in your chosen milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture thoroughly until the yogurt is well incorporated and there are no dry pockets of oats remaining at the bottom of the container.
  3. Add the finely diced apples to the jar. Gently fold them into the oat mixture so they are submerged. This keeps the apples fresh and allows them to infuse the oats with their natural sweetness.
  4. Seal the container with a lid and place it in the refrigerator. Let the oats soak for at least 6 hours, though overnight is best for the creamiest results.
