  • Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Season the Chicken In a large bowl, toss the cubed chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Ensure every piece is evenly coated with the spices. This step ensures that the flavor is built directly onto the meat before it even hits the pan.
  2. Step 2: Sear the Chicken Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken in a single layer. It is important not to crowd the pan; if your skillet is small, cook the chicken in two batches. Let the chicken sear undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until a golden crust forms, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
  3. Step 3: Create the Garlic Butter Sauce Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once the butter has melted, stir in the minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1 minute, or until it becomes fragrant and turns a light golden color. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as it can become bitter.
  4. Step 4: Finish and Garnish Toss the chicken bites thoroughly in the garlic butter sauce so they are well-glazed. Remove the skillet from the heat. Squeeze the optional lemon juice over the top for a bright finish and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately while hot.
